BuddyLight Tackles Common Problem Hidden In Your Cabinets & Closets -
Brooklyn, NY based startup BuddyLight has launched a crowdfunding campaign to tackle the most common problem hiding in your Cabinets and Closets which makes you carry a flash light when finding something in your Cabinets or Closets or other darker places -
The founders of the company were using the early prototype above for more than a year. They realized that others might also had a similar problem with poorly lit closets or cabinets so they came up with this product. -
The BuddyLight is a LED light which is powered by 4 AA batteries and the batteries can last up to 2 years with normal use, it has magnetic switch because most switches require contact so you would have to have them mounted precisely; exactly in the right spot for a door to connect with the switch and that contact tends to loosen things up. Whereas with a magnetic switch there's not any contact and they're not hitting each other... All you have to be is close. If you get them within an inch to an inch and a half of each other the light is going to go out, -
in addition to its qualities BuddyLight is very easy to install it uses industrial strength 2 sided tape so that you didn't have to climb inside the cabinet or drive nails into furniture, or call an electrician to get it fitted, It is available for preorder as part of the KICKSTARTER* crowdfunding campaign for a US$15 early bird price, with shipments scheduled to begin in February 2016.
The creators say the BuddyLight will ship when they will reach their goal of $15,000 in the campaign.
